With more than 150 years of combined experience, we know the moving, relocation and cargo insurance industries better than anyone. We strive to work with innovation and creativity every day. While many people strive to “think outside the box,” our team takes that concept to the next level. Our goal is to “Think Outside the Block” and to find new ways to solve industry challenges. Gadi Binness — President and CEO
Gadi Binness has more than 30 years of management, sales, and business development experience in the relocation, transportation and Internet industries. His relocation career started with Shleppers Moving and Storage, one of New York’s most prominent and successful moving companies, where he held key sales and operation positions. After establishing and growing his own successful moving and storage company, he joined Meyers Moving as a partner and Vice President. Gadi was instrumental in establishing Meyer’s relationship with Mayflower Transit and increasing the agency’s revenues over a period of two years. After selling his portion of the business, Gadi tapped the growing Internet and e-commerce markets as the VP of Business Development with Moving.com (later Monstermoving.com), the industry’s leading relocation website. In this capacity he was responsible for creating online partnerships with the Web’s leading real estate portals, generating millions of dollars in revenues for Monstermoving.com. Gadi established Relocation Insurance Group (RIG) in 2003. The company has revolutionized the way consumers and relocation vendors purchase all types of relocation insurance. Gadi holds Property and Casualty Insurance Producer licenses in all states, and Life and Accident/Health licenses in NJ and NY.
Kathy Causey – Affiliate Development Manager
With 16 years of experience in the household goods moving and storage industry, Kathy Causey is skilled in management, accounting, operations, business development, sales and customer service. Kathy also worked for 10 years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate helping foster children and their families to navigate the juvenile court system. At Relocation Insurance Group, Kathy facilitates new affiliate relationships by helping affiliates successfully join our network and by providing ongoing support thereafter. Additionally, Kathy assists in identifying and developing new business and market growth opportunities. She is also a licensed insurance producer. Kathy earned her Bachelor of Social Science in psychology from Mercer University in Georgia.
Kim Weaver — Compliance Manager
As the compliance manager, Kim Weaver uses her expert knowledge of all aspects of the domestic and international moving industry, from sales, packing and loading to delivery and billing. On the distribution side, Kim performs due diligence on all new companies joining Relocation Insurance Group’s distribution network, and once affiliates are on board, she helps reduce risk and control loss ratios by ensuring they have the correct licensing in addition to the necessary education and training. Kim also assists in developing requirements for all new programs. Kim has worked in the moving and relocation industry for 25 years. She holds a Registered International Mover (RIM) certification through AMSA and is a Certified Quality Labor Trainer for both United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit.
Business Development & Sales
Randi Krantz — Director of Business Development & Sales
Randi Krantz is responsible for new business acquisition and retention. Specifically, she finds and develops new business affiliates. Randi’s 22 years of marketing and sales experience has given her a strong understanding of e-commerce and affiliate marketing. Her prior positions include working as the vice president of business development for DAMCO Properties (which managed websites such as BizTrader.com and BankForeclosed.com) and serving as the vice president of business development for ForSalebyOwner.com.
Trish Arpin – Insurance Consultant
There are very few insurance experts who grew up in the moving industry, but Trish Arpin is one them. The Arpin family owns a fourth-generation moving company – Coastal Moving and Storage –headquartered in Georgia. As part of the Coastal team, Trish served the moving industry for 26 years, starting as a billing clerk and ending her tenure as the Chief Accounting Officer. In 2011, Trish decided to explore new career options and discovered that insurance offered a perfect fit. For the past several years, she’s learned all aspects of moving insurance and now she brings Relocation Insurance Group clients the unique combination of moving and insurance expertise. As an insurance consultant, she assists customers with insuring their goods while they are being moved.
Amanda Loyd — Customer Service Manager
Amanda Loyd has a background in sales and customer service, with four years of experience in the moving industry. Her experience with transportation began at UniGroup, Inc. where she worked in the government department coordinating moves for military and government employees. She was then asked to help pilot a program for Allegiant Move Management, a subsidiary of UniGroup, which offered move management services to UniGroup agents with authority to move military individuals and families. Acting as Account Manager, Amanda helped grow the program from one account to fifty accounts in just over two years. At Relocation Insurance Group, Amanda started as an Insurance Consultant and helped customers determine the coverage options that were best suited for their relocation needs. She then transitioned into a Customer Service role where her top priority is customer satisfaction. She is also a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance agent.
Pam Maiorano – Controller
As the controller at Relocation Insurance Group, Pam Maiorano manages the finance department and serves as a human resources administrator. She’s responsible for the weekly and monthly financial reporting, as well as the annual reports, business registration and producer licenses for all states. With more than 20 years of experience in accounting and administration, she’s knowledgeable in general accounting, payroll and benefits and budgeting. Before accepting her current position, she served as the controller for a construction company and the accounting manager for a large retail chain. She has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Montclair State University.
Crissy Tedesco – Bookkeeper
Cris Tedesco has more than 35 years’ experience providing bookkeeping services including maintaining daily financial records and producing reports. Prior to working for Relocation Insurance Group, Cris worked for a non-profit foundation for a prominent medical and dental university in New Jersey for 16 years in the role as Director of Administration. In that capacity, she was responsible for reporting to the various committees of the Board of Trustees. In addition, aside from her daily bookkeeping/administrative duties, she worked closely with independent investment managers and outside auditors and was the Human Resources liaison for the employees.
Jeff Harrison — Claims Department Manager
Jeff Harrison is a multi-line claim adjuster, specializing in household goods and personal effects. Prior to becoming a claim adjuster with Relocation Insurance Group, Mr. Harrison worked for 15 years as a dispatcher, planner, and claims adjuster for United Van Lines and Mayflower Van Lines. Jeff is a member of the CPPC (Claims Prevention and Procedure Council) and his claims experience includes work on claims (including household goods, antiques, cars and office equipment) for the likes of Nike, Wells Fargo, and Cognizant.
Tina Gaugh — Claims Adjuster
Tina Gaugh has more than 20 years of on-the-job experience. As a claims adjuster at Relocation Insurance Group, she investigates claims and thoroughly enjoys the adjusting process. Before joining Relocation Insurance Group in March 2016, she worked at Landstar TLC, where she issued vehicle permits, completed paperwork necessary for new drivers and kept brokerage insurance paperwork current. In 1997, she moved to UniGroup LLC to work as an adjusting specialist, where she served as customers’ direct contact throughout their claim process. Recognized as a leading adjuster, she helped train new adjusters. Tina has passed the test to obtain her Texas Adjuster License.
Susan Chilton – Inside Sales Consultant
When customers need support choosing the best insurance program for them, Susan Chilton provides that support. She’s an inside sales consultant at Relocation Insurance Group, and she truly does have inside knowledge. Before switching to sales, she was a claims adjuster, and with more than 19 years of experience in the moving industry, there are very few situations she hasn’t seen. Although her focus is now helping customers through the sales process, she still steps in to help with claims adjusting as needed. Susan has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University, Producers Property & Casualty License in the state of Missouri and Adjuster Property & Casualty DHS TX.
Geoffrey Stanton — Director of Technology
Geoffrey Stanton manages the network of both hardware and software components that connect the Relocation Insurance Group. His focus is on infrastructure design and support, as well as developing tools to increase efficiency without sacrificing usability or security. Mr. Stanton has helped move the company towards a process-driven approach to providing services, to increase agility and streamline existing channels. He is proud to bring over 20 years of experience to assist in the growth of our skillful team of insurance professionals.
